Jen Minotas, IIDA
Jen Minotas is the founder of +Detail, a design firm rooted in the belief that design should radiate positive energy through the spaces we create and the way we engage with people.
With a background in interior design, Jen launched +Detail in 2015 as a solo venture. Today, it has grown into a fast-rising firm powered by a talented team of architects and designers. While her love for design remains strong, what truly lights her up today is the business of design and building a culture where people feel supported, inspired, and free to show up fully as themselves. She champions work-life balance and is proud that +Detail offers an environment where personal and professional success can coexist. As both a mom of young kids and a business owner, Jen lives that balance every day—and ensures her team can do the same.
Jen’s desire to support others extends well beyond her own firm. She’s an active mentor through IIDA, frequently participates in student critiques, and delivers guest lectures on healthcare interior design—always with the goal of giving back what she received early in her career. True to her innovative spirit, Jen is also the creator of Follio, a digital platform that reimagines how design standards are developed and maintained. What began as a response to a client’s need has grown into a powerful tool for streamlining design processes and aligning teams.
Her work has earned recognition from both AIA and IIDA, solidifying her reputation as a trusted partner in shaping interior environments. Her proudest accomplishments, though, remain the connections she’s built, the team she’s grown, and the passion for her work that she gets to share each day. Her vision for +Detail, Follio, and the industry as a whole is grounded in empathy, collaboration, and the pursuit of a fulfilling life—inside and outside the walls of an office.
Beyond her work, Jen serves on the board of Providence House, contributing to their mission of supporting children and families in crisis.
