A New Chapter of Impact: Jen Minotas Joins the Providence House Board of Directors

At +Detail, our mission has always been rooted in creating spaces that uplift, protect, and support human well-being. Today, we are proud to share an extension of that mission beyond design, directly into the local community.

We’re thrilled to announce that our Founder, Jen Minotas, has been appointed to the Board of Directors for Providence House, a nationally recognized nonprofit protecting at-risk children and preserving families in crisis across Northeast Ohio.

For over 40 years, Providence House has been a vital refuge, Ohio’s first and one of the nation's longest-operating crisis nurseries. Since opening in 1981, they’ve provided free, voluntary emergency shelter for children ages newborn through twelve, alongside comprehensive family support services. Their trauma-informed care environment, family preservation model, and integrated programming have touched over 15,000 lives, keeping children safe while helping families heal and stay together.

As a designer, mentor, and mother, Jen’s commitment to mental wellbeing runs deep. Her life's work has centered around designing healing and educational spaces for institutions like Cleveland Clinic, University Hospitals, and Oberlin College. Joining Providence House allows her to extend that commitment to a cause that is both personal and profoundly needed…advocating for children’s safety, supporting families in distress, and advancing mental health and wellness.

“Providence House embodies the kind of holistic, community-rooted care I believe in, where emotional safety, dignity, and long-term healing come first,” says Jen. “As a mother and as a designer, I’m honored to support an organization that leads with compassion and truly transforms the trajectory of families.”

At +Detail, we understand that thoughtful design is only one piece of the puzzle. Our work is guided by a broader vision: a world where every child feels safe, every family has support, and every space nurtures human potential. Jen’s appointment to the Providence House board reflects this vision in action, where leadership meets lived values and where our commitment to the local Cleveland community deepens.

We look forward to supporting Jen in this meaningful role and amplifying the life-changing work of Providence House.
